I am totally new to litecoin and mining. Before adding the -T command: GTX 10 series new miner help Mining.
I uninstalled my nvidia drivers and can now log in, but cant seem to get them installed again and my resolution is all messed up even though im not using my nvidia cards for display… I tried going through all the steps again but no matter what, when i try to install nvidia drivers, it complains that Xserver is running even after calling lightdm stop or service lightdm stop.
Adding -T to the command line command did the trick.

Adding --no-restart to my command fixed this problem for my x setup. Failed to connect to server socket: I use GPUTweak that came with my card and it works great for overclocking…its not a tweakable as this would be but it is an easy overclocking solution. I reinstalled nvidia via ubuntu-drivers autoinstall and got caught in a login loop again but ctminer can ssh in. So i reinstaled ubuntu desktop and purged Nvidia, this allows me to log in normally but with awful resolution.

Anyway, today i decided to start playing with litecoin and sett up a pool at litecoinpool. Since I execute from a batch file, I just added cggminer line before executing cgminer: Not only do I now get a neat output of what is happening; the -T parameter also made the entire mining process actually work!
